Charitable Remainder Unitrusts
(Who should serve as trustee?)
A charitable remainder unitrust is a separate legal entity administered by a trustee. You, a financial advisor, or institution can serve as trustee of your unitrust. This gives you the flexibility of following your own or your advisors' investment strategies. If you desire, Children's can also serve as trustee, and we would be happy to discuss our policies with you. Whichever option you choose, our staff can share sample trust documents and discuss the details of establishing a charitable remainder unitrust with you and your advisors.
